How do I properly store acryclic paintings done on canvas

The majority of the acrylic paintings are 4ft x 4ft and the canvas was

stretched by the artist on to wood frames. Some of the wood frames are

warping. l need a storage method that can be used for long term (over a

year) storage and is practical when dealing with at least 20 paintings.l

also need a method that is not super expensive. In case it is important to

storage: the paintings range in age from approximately 10-60 years old, but

you could either hang it in your room

or wrap it in bubble wrap and store it

how you store them will depend a lot on how you finished the

outer coating but the beat I know of is an acid free slip sheet between

each one stored on end vertically in a room that does not get lots of

moisture but does not have a huge temp fluctuation either they should be

checked periodically for any problems they can also be dismounted later

and re stretched is necessary which is a common practice. good luck with

If they are properly varnished you can place them upright & in a manner

do provided it stays about constant room-temperature.

Warped wood will need replacement as it is near impossible to correct & is  
also impractical. Invest a few $ (or equivalent local currency) to replace  
them before storing. It will not influence the value negatively but will  
save the painting from damage in storage & transport.

well at galleries they have vertical shelfs. you could try  
furball
that. they wont touch each other and thats what you probably want.
